Aglianico
Caserta's Hidden Gem - Raviscanina's Aglianico Red Wine
Embark on a journey to savor the hidden gem of Caserta, Italy - Raviscanina's Aglianico Red Wine. This rich and vibrant ruby-red wine, with hints of violet, is a testament to the art of winemaking in the heart of southern Italy.
Our Aglianico grapes, grown exclusively in the Raviscanina region of Caserta, are bathed in the warm sunlight and nurtured by the unique terroir at the foothills of the Matese Mountains. The rocky, limestone-rich soil imparts a distinctive structure and a delightful smoothness to the wine.
The winemaking process is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by a malolactic fermentation and springtime clarification. Once bottled, the wine matures for a minimum of five months, allowing it to develop its full character before reaching your glass.
On the nose, our Aglianico reveals the enticing aromas of ripe red fruits, notes of black cherry jam, and hints of strawberry tree fruit. In the mouth, it showcases authoritative yet well-balanced tannins, a lingering finish, and a perfect harmony of flavors and scents.
This wine is the quintessence of its terroir, a true representation of the land it hails from. With its robust character, it pairs exceptionally well with roasted meats and a variety of hearty dishes.
Our annual production yields approximately 7,000 bottles of this exceptional 750 ml wine, boasting an alcohol content of 12% by volume. For an optimal tasting experience, we recommend serving it at a temperature of 18°C.
